Stop Suicide

This stamp is made for the "Stop Suicide" Campaign that Celeste is running now.
As you all know Celeste runs many campaigns that I do stamps for.

But this one is special because 9 out of 10 people have known someone who has committed suicide.

I think the problem with this is most times the people who committed suicide gave many warnings somehow be it verbally, written or sometimes just by their change in behavior.

The common mistake here is no matter the warning signs given, no one listened, no one thought that this person was seriously hurting emotionally much less serious about actually doing it.

They hear other people say comments like
" if they were really serious they wouldn't say they were going to do it"

or

"They are just acting that way to get attention"

This is not true people... sometimes when people say they are going to kill them self they mean it.

Sometimes they never say it but perhaps they write it in poetry.or a journal, or a diary ... even on a piece of paper.

Whatever way they say it pay attention and take it Serious because once its done there is no time to say

"I coulda shoulda"
