Arriving Too Late

I have gotten many comments on this piece and all see sadness. So I will describe the scene.

She runs as fast as she could to catch her beloved before he departed to finally admit that she truly loved him.

To her dismay she found she arrived too late... as she stood there tears running down her cheeks she stared at the ship as it slowly disappeared on the horizon.

Thinking she has lost her one and only chance to be with her soul mate she feels a sense of loss like no other...

Little does she know..... he was walking up behind her ...wrapping his arms around her waist she did not budge.... she knew it was him immediately....she smiled softly placing her hands over his arms and closed her eyes......
he whispered in her ear.....
"I could not leave the only woman who has taken over my heart completely....." she turns to him smiling....softly saying
"I Love You"
